Hive & Comb is run by Gray and Nick, two passionate beekeepers based in Leicestershire with a real love for bees, honey and the environment around us.

 

We manage our own colonies across Leicestershire and take great pride in keeping our bees healthy, strong and well cared for throughout the seasons. We are also members of the Leicester & Rutland Beekeepers Association, continuing to build on our knowledge and experience while being part of the wider local beekeeping community.

 

Our honey is harvested in small batches directly from our own hives. We keep it simple — pure, raw honey with nothing added, giving you a genuine taste of the local forage our bees have worked so hard to collect.

 

For us, beekeeping goes far beyond producing honey. A big part of what we do is about education, conservation and encouraging the next generation to understand just how important bees and other pollinators are.

 

We are currently developing a beekeeping project within a local school, where students will have the opportunity to train alongside us as Junior Beekeepers. They will learn how a colony works, how to safely inspect a hive, care for bees, understand pollination and biodiversity, and see first-hand how honey makes its way from the hive to the jar.

 

Money raised through Hive & Comb helps us continue developing our apiaries, caring for our bees and investing in projects such as protective clothing, equipment and future Junior Beekeeper activities.

 

For us, Hive & Comb is about producing great local honey, supporting healthy bees and passing our knowledge on to the next generation.
